"I wanted to build something here that was truly mine — with care, with people, and without compromise."

Hi, I'm Gaétan Lebègue, founder of Bon Appétit Vending. As a Frenchman who first fell in love with California between 2015 and 2020, moving back to the Bay Area in 2024 — this time for good, with my partner and our two daughters — felt like coming home.

The idea came from a friend running a similar business in Los Angeles. But what truly convinced me was listening to people. Again and again, I heard the same frustrations: machines that were always empty, poorly maintained, or out of service for days. I saw an opportunity to do things differently — with no middlemen, genuine care, and a hands-on owner who picks up the phone and shows up the same day.

Before launching Bon Appétit Vending, I spent over 20 years as an interior designer — a career built on precision, aesthetics, and understanding what people need in a space. I bring that same French sensibility to every machine: clean, well-stocked, and thoughtfully placed.

Is installation, maintenance, and restocking free?+
Yes — everything is completely free for you. Installation, regular restocking, and all maintenance are handled entirely by us at no cost to your organization. Our revenue comes from product sales, so you simply enjoy the service.
How can I get your services?+
Getting started is easy. Fill out the contact form on this page, give us a call at 650-518-0665, or send us an email. We'll get back to you within 24 hours to schedule a free consultation and discuss the best setup for your space.
How often are the machines serviced?+
Your location is added to our scheduled route and serviced at least once every two weeks — and up to daily depending on usage. Every visit includes restocking, checking for errors, and cleaning.
Can we choose what products go in the machines?+
Absolutely. Before installation, we discuss your community's preferences, dietary needs, and any specific requirements. We load what works best for your audience and adjust at any time upon request — at no extra cost.
Are the machines modern? Do they accept cash and give change?+
Yes. All our machines are new or late-model BevMax and Crane Merchant Ambient units — clean, bright, and modern. They accept bills, coins, and give change. They also accept cashless payments via Nayax terminals.
What happens if a machine breaks down or a customer loses money?+
We respond to service calls the same day. Any money lost in one of our machines will always be refunded — no questions asked.
Do you serve the entire Bay Area?+
Yes. We are based in Los Altos and serve the entire Bay Area. We strategically place our machines within a manageable geographic radius so we can always respond quickly.
